NHCSS POLICY FOR SELECTION

The NHCSS strives to provide a conference with a balance of workshops to satisfy the needs of all members, including offerings for elementary, middle, and high school level teachers. We look for a mix of subject areas and pedagogical styles, sponsored and independent presentations, fresh and successfully tried ideas.
We have been fortunate in that some years the number of proposals received far exceed the number of workshops scheduled. In those years we must employ a selection process based not only on the above, but also on the theme of the conference, identified needs of our membership based on previous conference feedback, and emerging trends in our field.
Occasionally we will ask a presenter or presenters to be on stand-by in case of a cancellation. We may also ask that a promising proposal be edited to better fit our needs. The NHCSS may also accept a proposal but delay its offering until the next annual conference.
We thank you for your efforts in partnering with us to make the NHCSS Annual Conference the best that it can be for our membership and appreciate the work that goes into each and every proposal. All proposals will receive a written response by the end of the current school year.
